\u201cLet not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.\u201d \u00a0(John 14, 1-2)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 \u201cIn my Father\u2019s house are many mansions.\u201d With this sentence, perhaps the Lord wanted to show us that in heaven there were abodes for many and that salvation was not limited to a few dozen chosen ones. However, he also indicated that there could be others there that weren\u2019t ours, or that, salvation was open to non Catholics, as shown by the Church. Anyway, surely what he meant is that there are many legitimate ways to follow Him, always when you live in communion with the Church. At times, Catholics waste time criticizing other Catholics, members of other groups or movements. Some universalize to such a point the peculiarities of their spirituality that the consider that those who are not in their group are not true and authentic Christians, do not have sufficient quality, or, at least loose time in some way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Actually there are differences which are not legitimate, such as those which spring from an erroneous interpretation of the word of God or the suppression of a moral norm. Because of this it is important to accept the Leadership of the Pope and the Bishops, who are those who have the don of the Spirit to discern. The qualification is done, and it is the Church hierarchy that has the power to discern which path is not truly Catholic, it encumbers us to respect the path of the other. And, above all, it concerns us to respect the legitimate differences that exist between human beings, without intending that all are or think like us. Be happy that in the church there are different paths and love the path of the other as if it were yours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Intention<\/u>: <\/strong>Accept the other as he is; do not try to turn him into a copy of you. Respect his right to be different, in those matters where being different is legitimate.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
