Peter took him aside and began to rebuke him. \u2018Never, Lord!\u2019 he said. \u2018This shall never happen to you!\u2019 Jesus turned and said to Peter, \u2018Get behind me, Satan! You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men\u2019.\u201c \u00a0(Matthew 16, 21-23)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 It should not be difficult to accept that God, the creator, is more intelligent than man, the creature. However, as soon as we do not understand something, we think that God does not exist, or does not pay attention to us or has made a mistake. We especially think this way when something makes us suffer, when the Cross comes to us in any of its thousand faces: illness, death, love or work problems.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 We should try to have God\u2019s intelligence that is we should imitate God, who did not choose the easy way, the way of success, of miracles, to solve all problems and redeem Mankind, but instead chose the way of the Cross.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Therefore every time that something big or small goes wrong in our lives, let us not curse our luck, nor consider ourselves unfortunate, but rather be aware that we have been granted a large treasure: to collaborate with Christ in redemption. And let us think that frequently after crises solutions have come and the latter would not have arrived if it had not been for the former. After the Cross, the Resurrection arrived.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Lastly, let us not forget that in that same cross, our cross; we can share God\u2019s pain, present there in a mysterious but real way, as He said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><u>Intention<\/u>: <\/strong>Offer to God each of your pains, accepting them without complaining, for the conversion of those who make man suffer.
