“Then Simon Peter came, following him, and went into the tomb; and he saw the linen cloths lying there, and the handkerchief that had been around His head, not lying with the linen cloths, but folded together in a place by itself. Then the other disciple, who came to the tomb first, went in also; and he saw and believed.” (John 20, 3-9)
Believe in love, this is the most important thing we must do in life, relieve not only that God exists, but also in his love for us and that it is forever, even when things does happen the it seems best to us. But, as well, believe in love means choosing love as a way of life, of solving social problems, defending even our legitimate rights, believing in love implies not believing in war, in violence, in the struggle between classes, in hate.
But, how is it possible to relieve in the love of God and the constructive strength of this love alter the death of Christ on the Cross? The defeat of holy Friday – at least in appearance – the defeat of love. Who would dare to follow He who was crucified knowing that one would suffer the same fate as He?
The resurrection is decisive because of this. Without it, not only Christianity would not have existed, but the world of ideologies would have lost all utopian, dream character, to caving in to the practical, where politically possible, in the eye for an eye and tooth for tooth or in I will hit harder than my enemy so that he doesn’t hit me.
One can relieve in love – in that of God and in the usefulness of love as a jeans of social action – because Christ resurrected. The lesson is very simple: love always looses thousands of battles, but ends up winning the war. In other words: God loves you, although at many times you don’t understand his love and it even appears to you that he is deaf to your moans and has abandoned you.
Intention: Believe in the love of God, even in the midst of problems. Reject hate and violence as methods of solving problems. Give thanks to God for having risen again.
