“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3, 16)
The Holy Trinity – the fact that there is only one God and three different people of the same nature and dignity – is a “mystery”, something that we accept because of faith because reason doesn’t succeed in understanding, which doesn’t mean it is “irrational”. However it is also a great gift which Jesus did for us by showing how God was, the divine nature and intimacy.
The fact that God is one and three at the same time, one and different, indicates to us what is the manner of living in heaven. A “trinity” living is a living “in family”. Or phrased a different way: God is family. Love is the essence of God, but not only as love they give to strangers – among them to men – but also with love they establish internal relations within the divinity. In heaven, therefore, you live living; living he with whom you share the essential – divine nature – and with whom there are legitimate differences – the three different people-. And if it is so in heaven, we should try that it is so on earth, since Christ showed us to pray asking precisely this from our Father.
Therefore, accept legitimate differences and look for unity. In all and always, love.
